SAFE AFTERCARE FOR KIDS
Goshukan Reachout aims to offer safe, subsidized, affordable aftercare for working families in township areas. Giving parents peace of mind that their kids are being well taken care of and are off the streets, way from the lure of crime, gangsterism and drugs.
FREE, SAFE TRANSPORT
Goshukan Reachout sponsors mini bus shuttle vehicle to schools and orphanages that we are actively involved in. These vehicles are used to shuttle kids to and from sporting events, educational outings and recreational outings.
With public transport and local taxi's becoming increasingly unreliable, expensive and often unsafe, these vehicles are essential for any school.
EARLY EDUCATION CENTRES (EDC)
There is a huge misconception that Early Childhood Development Centres are glorified babysitting centres.
Goshukan Reachout and Love Trust have identified the critical need for qualified early childhood educators. We have also realised the desperate need for training of qualified educators.
Under the Love Trust umbrella and the Teacher Training Centres they have established, those that are selected to go through teacher training will have access to credible training, guidance on fundraising activities, monitoring and evaluation, teaching material and will provide a curriculum that is SAQA accredited Level 4 and Level 5 training.
SPORT KARATE DEVELOPMENT
Goshukan Reachout raises funds to aid in the training, travel and entry of development fighters into Provincial, national and international WKF (World Karate Federation) tournaments.
Unfortunately due to the nature of sport and politics in South Africa, even though fighters have placed no.1 in the country and have received National Protea Colours from KSA (Karate South Africa) and SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic committee), there is virtually no funding to assist the athletes.They are often replaced by athletes who have the funds, though they be less qualified and skilled.
With Karate becoming an Olympic sport in 2020 Olympic Games, Tokyo, Japan, we train and fund athletes for the highest level of sporting achievement.
MIRACLE KIDZ SAFE HOUSE
Miracle Kiz is a safe house and orphanage in Tokai, Cape Town that takes in abused, abandoned and orphaned children and gives them a home while they assist in finding foster or adoptive parents.
They operate out of a small house in Tokai and dont have adequate rooms to sleep everyone or a kitchen equipped enough to deal with the meal requirements of these childrren. They all share 1 bathroom and use a tiny wendy house as a makeshift school.
Goshukan Reachout is raising funds to renovate and expand their house and build a better school facility with better sporting and play facilities.
SURREY PRIMARY SCHOOL ATHLONE
Surrey Primary School in Athlone, Cape Town has over 800 learners who have to hold assemblies outdoors as they dont have a facility large enough to hold them indoors.
Often bad weather hampers efforts to assemble the school together for vital assemblies, cultural theatre plays and sporting activities.
Goshukan Reachout is raising funds to build a hall large enough to accommodate their needs.
